Bridging the Gap was awesome!!!

It's been a rather Jack Johnson sort of week.
Well at least in my mind it was.
When your world goes Crash Boom Bang you don't turn to Roxette!
You just enque every freaking album of Jack Johnson in your play list and you play it over and over again!
I got new Jack Johnson converts too.
Cheers to Jo and Felicia!

Lied-Binky helps uncrunch your evening too *grin*
Don't forget.

... sigh...

I didn't get to catch Sgt. Weener Arms (SWA) last gig together.
I didn't get to go to Melaka to watch PG165 and AVE at botb.
I didn't get to go to Borders at The Curve for Klue Words & Tunes.
Neither did I get to go to FGC, USJ for service.
A super packed weekend which I didn't have any part of.
I spent the entire weekend in bed.
(well except for Saturday morning where I had to go help out with The Star RAGE-Spirit Of KL event.)
maybe I really did need the rest. *shrug*

But I finally watched Passion Of Christ!
Yes yes i'm a little backward. I couldn't bring myself to watch it before. And since Alex had an original dvd of the movie, Bel, Gloria & I headed over to his place to watch.
Now my sister told me to be prepared and bring a whole box of tissues.
I didn't use them.
And Jessica also said that after the movie i'd be lying awake thinking about how Jesus died and suffered for us.
I fell asleep almost immediately when my head touched the pillow.
The last thing she said was, "After the movie, you'll love Jesus more"
And boy was she right. That was more than just a movie. It was so real. HE is so real.
His Love abounds and his Grace is sufficient for me.

CSS Naked Day

Bet you didn't know there was such a thing!
Well yes today, April 5th is CSS Naked Day!

The idea behind this event is to promote Web Standards. Plain and simple. This includes proper use of (x)html, semantic markup, a good hierarchy structure, and well, a fun play on words.

Not Just an Idea

I don't want to be just proclaiming an idea
I want to be a witness to the person that You are.
To one person at a time, I'll share your message
Through loving hands and a selfless heart
They'll know who you are.
I might not shout it from the rooftops
But i'll share my heart with each one i meet
To be a living testament to the gospel
Without grumble and complant about circumstances and situations
But with Joy that radiates from within.
To live a life of love and joy, how easy it may seem.
But all these trails and struggles we go through,
Helps me find the reason for the faith I have in You.

If You Want Me To

The pathway is broken
And the signs are unclear
And I don't know the reason why you brought me here
But just because you love me the way that you do
I'm gonna walk through the valley
If you want me to

Cuz I'm not who I was
When I took my first step
And I'm clinging to the promise you're not through with me yet
So if all of these trials bring me closer to you
Then I will go through the fire
If you want me to

It may not be the way I would have chosen
When you lead me through a world that's not my home
But you never said it would be easy
You only said I'll never go alone

So when the whole world turns against me
And I'm all by myself
And I can't hear you answer my cries for help
I'll remember the suffering your love put you through
And I will go through the valley
If you want me to

Thanks to DiGi and my colleague who got the preview tickets, I got to see Gubra today! As much as I was excited to catch Sepet, I was even more excited to see what underlying issue Gubra would contain.

This movie got me laughing hysterically at some parts and tearing at some parts. (yes yes i'm sappy) And yes there were a few people shifting in their chairs at certain points of the movie but I believe that's what a good movie does. Pick a few hairs and prod a few hearts.

"Gubra" is intended to examine one common phenomenon: The simple everyday fact that when we experience betrayal, it is more often than not committed unto us by people who love us; not people who hate us.

I guess in the end, "Gubra" will be about love (because, as John Cassavetes once said, "nothing else interests me"), it will be about betrayal, and in the end, the difficult but inevitable question of whether or not to forgive the people who betray us.
-Yasmin Ahmad-

Only thing I will let out is; No, Jason (Ng Choo Seong) does NOT come back from the dead. But another Sepet dude Alan (Yun) makes an appearance. *yummy* (FYI, he's our long term school girl crush)

As someone who is soon (i think) about to venture into the production field, i say, support the Malaysian movie industry and go watch Gubra! It's definately worth your RM10.
