This Is Where We Live

This is probably my most favourite stop animation movie ever! I think I had a dream once, where I lived in a world of books. :)

in pain

It's day seven and I'm absofcklutely tired. My eye balls hurt and my head is pounding.
The words seem to be running round the page and blurring in and out.
Every time i breathe my chest hurts and I've got this intense pain which pierces right through to my shoulder blades.
My feet hurt and my back hurts cause i've been on my toes all day.
Yes I'm whining.

But on the bright side... I've got only four more days to go! Then I get to go home, sleep on my own bed, see my roomie, and basically LIVE. This hotel life and living out of a suitcase is soooo not me.

And something else that cheered me up today - my bestie called me! We caught up, talked about Christmas Trees, had a good cry and boy am i missing you loads babe.

30 seconds with Sting

So we waited. And waited some more.
And then he came, breezed in, was more like it. And all i saw was a big guy with an overgrown beard and he looked nothing like the pictures.

I got my camera crew and headed over to the VIP table. And then there was more waiting. By then I had completely forgotten all the questions I needed to ask him.

My hands were shaking... mostly from the cold. But partly from having to interview him in front of all my bosses. Ugh.

After a long while, he got up to leave. "Here's my chance," thought I. And he come right out and stood in front of me. I mumbled a feeble "Hi" and shook his hand. Told him I had a couple of questions and he said, "Walk with me"

By then I had lost my camera crew and he was already heading to the exit. I didn't know what to say and so I stepped back. I didn't get my interview.

I don't know what was more disappointing; that i was tongue tied or that I didn't get a picture with him.

Owh least there was that brief hand-shake.

But still.... i think i would have given up Sting and all the other celebrities i've met, just to spend an evening with you. Yup... I definitely would. :)

Right now.... right this second.... you guys are up high on a hill, playing taboo and enjoying a lovely time together. While I am stuck here in a conference room that smells strongly of cigarette smoke and wet carpets.

I've got a BS speech to transcribe and although i'm not complaining bout the work, i am whinging about how i'm here and not there and about standing around and doing absolutely nonsensical stuff.

But then.... there's the possibility of Sting. So i've got my fingers crossed. As I always say... One can but hope. :)
